Who we are
ABLUKA: Blockade Strategy (“ABLUKA”, Android package com.mahmutcandan.abluka, also on iOS) is developed and published by Seyid Mahmut Candan under the TheTrendTutor name. Contact: contact@thetrendtutor.com. This policy covers the ABLUKA app on Android and iOS and the ABLUKA game server. The thetrendtutor.com website has its own Privacy Policy.
Summary
- You do not need to give your real name, email address or phone number to play.
- There are no ads and no analytics, advertising or tracking SDKs in the app.
- We never sell your data or share it for advertising.
- Offline modes (two players on one device, play against the computer) send nothing to us.
- You can delete your profile at any time: ABLUKA – Delete your profile and data.
Offline play
Two-player mode on one device and games against the computer work fully offline. Your settings (for example sound, language and board style) are stored only on your device.
Data we process when you play online or use a profile
When you play online, create a player profile or use rankings, the app connects to our ABLUKA game server and the following data is processed:
- Nickname you choose (3–16 characters). It is shown to other players and on leaderboards. Please do not use your real name.
- Optional flag or country that you pick yourself. We do not detect your location.
- A random, anonymous player ID and a recovery code created by the app, so that your profile can be restored on a new device. They are not your device's advertising ID or a hardware identifier.
- Platform (Android or iOS) and app version, for compatibility.
- Match and move records, results, Elo rating, league, badges and leaderboard positions.
- The preset quick messages you send (there is no free-text chat).
- Reports and blocks that you make or receive, and the moderation decisions about them.
- Your IP address and request times, needed to deliver the connection, limit request rates (rate limiting) and prevent cheating and abuse.
- Technical error logs of the server and, if the app sends them, crash reports, without your name.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, precise or approximate location, contacts, photos or files, microphone or camera data, advertising ID or browsing history. If you email us, we receive your email address only to answer you.
Purchases
In-app purchases are processed by Google Play or the Apple App Store. We never see or store your card or bank details. To confirm a purchase and deliver it to your profile, our server stores the purchase token or transaction ID, the product, the date and the status provided by the store, and verifies it with the store.
Why we use the data
- To run online matches, matchmaking, ratings, leagues, badges and leaderboards: necessary to provide the game you request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b); KVKK Art. 5(2)(c)).
- To keep play fair and safe (rate limits, anti-cheat, reports and blocks): our legitimate interest and the safety of other players (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); KVKK Art. 5(2)(f)).
- To verify purchases and meet legal obligations such as accounting and refunds (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and (c); KVKK Art. 5(2)(ç)).
- We do not use your data for advertising, for profiling or for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.
Sharing
We do not sell or rent your data and we do not share it for advertising. Your nickname, flag, rating, league and badges are visible to other players. Data is otherwise processed only by our server hosting provider (on our behalf), by Google or Apple for purchases, by Apple Game Center if you choose Game Center play on iOS (under Apple's privacy policy), and by authorities only when the law requires it. Our server may be located outside your country; we protect the data in the same way wherever it is processed.
Security
All connections between the app and our server are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). On your device, the player ID and recovery code are kept in the system's secure storage (Android Keystore / iOS Keychain). Access to the server is limited to the developer.
How long we keep data
- Profile (nickname, flag, player ID, recovery code, rating, league, badges): until you delete it. Profiles with no activity for 24 months may be deleted automatically.
- Match and move records: while your profile exists; deleted or anonymised when you delete it.
- Reports, blocks and moderation decisions: up to 180 days, longer only while an abuse case is still open.
- IP addresses and request times (anti-cheat, rate limits): up to 30 days.
- Technical error and crash logs: up to 14 days.
- Purchase records: while your profile exists; after deletion, a record without nickname or player ID (transaction ID, product, date) is kept only as long as the law requires for refunds, fraud prevention and accounting.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct, export or delete your data, and you can object to its processing. You can delete your profile in the app or by email, as described on ABLUKA – Delete your profile and data. We answer every request within 30 days at the latest. You also have the right to complain to a data protection authority (in Türkiye the KVKK Authority, in the EU your local supervisory authority).
Children
ABLUKA is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Online play needs no personal information; players should choose a nickname that is not their real name. Nicknames are filtered for offensive words and messages are limited to friendly presets. We recommend parental supervision for online play. If you believe a child under 13 has created a profile, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of this page and, for important changes, show a notice in the app. Questions or requests: contact@thetrendtutor.com.
